COP27: The Prospects and Challenges for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA)

In line with the global trend, Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region has been growing vulnerable to direct indirect health effects of climate change including death tolls due climatological disasters diseases sensitive since industrial revolution. Regarding limited capacity MENA countries adapt respond these effects, also after relative failures previous negotiation in Glasgow, upcoming COP27 Egypt, heads region’s parties are determined take advantage opportunity host mitigate prevent worst change. This would be achieved through mobilizing international partners support resilience, a major economic transformation, put policy management strategic position contribute thinking action on pressing matters, at least avoid or minimize future adverse consequences.
